    This is ridiculous.

This plonker doesn't even know the Arab word for Andalucia. (Al-Andalus (الاندلس)‎)

No, Trampas, it was the Spanish Christians who slaughtered thousands of Muslim men women and children in the reconquest and brought in the joys of the Inquisition.

I note your move away from all that "flowering". Smart move.

I merely corrected your utterly unfactual statement that Muslims were woven into the fabric of Irish political life and required to be consulted on everything.
Both of your points couldn't be more wrong if they tried. Which, I think, is what you're doing in order to provoke a reaction to your trolling ways.
Good luck trying to reclaim Andalusia. The Spanish police will treat you with the same respect they do ETA. Enjoy prison paella.

No disprespect, but if you'd familiarise yourself just a wee bit with some of wexforman's opinions by way of his posts you'd realise how silly this sounds.

And if you don't feel any need to familiarise yourself with someone's opinions before accusing them of hatred or of having an "homogeneous wet dream of yesteryear" then you won't be taken very seriously, not because you're unfairly hated but because you're being an idiot.

Of course, for four hundred years. However, we can't exactly expect it to be reconverted from a Mosque to a Christian Church, as Clanrickard suggests, if it is no longer a Mosque, can we?

I'm in no way surprised if you don't appreciate the cultural and scientific achievements of Al Andalalus.

"Flowering" describes it well: particularly as the cult of the garden was an important element of the culture.

Yes, particularly the amazing use of the snow melt in Grenada for the fountains and streams of the Alhambra, but this thread is ridiculous.
