Saudi court jails 'sex boast' man

The Jeddah offices of a Lebanon-based TV station which broadcast an interview with a Saudi man boasting about his sexual conquests have been closed. Saudi Arabian authorities said the offices had been shut by order of the country's deputy prime minister.

A Saudi Arabian man who boasted about his sex life on a TV talk show has been jailed for five years, his lawyer says. Mazen Abdul Jawad was also sentenced to 1,000 lashes by a Saudi court on charges relating to immoral behaviour. His lawyer says he will appeal.

Is that all? The vile creature got off far too easy. Sadly, this is the sum of western influence.

    1,000 lashes? Easy?

Man boasts about sexual conquests... that is a first...

Don't see much point in these threads. Every man and his dog, and maybe women too, knows Saudi Arabia is a vile country.

Surely 'vileness' is measured by the normality of such things - like for instance in Ireland.

He should have pretended to be a masochist and that for him the greatest suffering would be no punishment at all.

He should have "married" those women for a couple of hours.....just like his prophet before him. When it comes to such matters "western influence" is utterly redundant. Muslims wrote the book.

Better the honour of marriage than the indulgence of sin - even if for an hour.

If you say so. No doubt Mohammed's temporary wives all said "I do" in unison......until he said I don't. Not too much "honour" for those women I would have thought.
