    The Trial of Tony Blair

The Trial of Tony Blair is beginning in about two minutes on Channel 4 digital channel, More4.

Set in 2010, with Gordon Brown as PM and Hillary Clinton as President, Tony Blair stands trial in the Hague for war crimes. It's written by the same people as "A Very Social Secretary", a satirical documentary of David Blunkett's affair.

I'll be watching. It should be interesting. Anyone else?

I'll watch it on Thursday on Channel 4. That way I can watch Big Brother as well. Even though it's rubbish this year, especially compared to 2006's triumph.

Hope the Tony Blair thing is better than the Blunkett one. That were rubbish.

Well, that wasn't particularly good. It was heavy handed in places and varied between mediocre satire and heavy drama.

Music was fairly good, but that's about it. Watch it if you're bored.

The Gordon Brown was awful, but it had a few good lines. Like when Cherie was explaining to Tony that there was no such thing as private A&E and he responded 'how did we miss that one?'.

Britian didn't ratify the ICC did they?

and even if they did, Launching a War of Agression is not a crime (they coduln't agree on a definition) so maybe a bit unrealistic?
About as realistic as President Hillary Clinton?

One thing that I thought was glaringly obvious during those scenes (and there were some good moments) was that they could have been signifigantly more subtle. The points were in your face - completely lacking in nuance.

The joke was too subtle for the PDs who made it part of their health policy!
