Papa Silvio Frozen out by Mrs Obama.

I truly applaud her, though the Telegraph columnist who published the set of images was scathing about
poor Mrs Obama who apparently for the sake of protocol should not have kept her distance and should
    have hugged the ol' lech.

Not so, Protocol would demand that the Premier of Italy should know how to behave in public and no woman should
have to put up with a would be groper (or whatever he intended when she refused to hug him).

I like these images and believe that Mrs Obama was perfectly correct just shaking his hand ewwwwwww
rather than get herself caught in a body hug where he might have grabbed booby (etc)

The politics of kissing: Michelle Obama hugs Brown, Merkel and Medvedev, but not Silvio Berlusconi - Telegraph

Telegraph journos think that just cos a guy is a premier we should all be on our collective knees giving them the respect
they think they deserve, even if they have made themselves immune from prosecution and are up to their oxters in sleaze.

Fair play to Michelle, she did not breach protocol and found a common ground. Observe where the leer is
directed in the photos at link ^

I don't think it's respect Silvio would be expecting from anyone on their knees in front of him.

Yet, you can imagine the reaction of the Telegraph if he did that to one of the British Royal family...

I don't think they mind hugging him; but she obviously did...
