    I suppose (He3) that Proximity is the decider in these things, she is a dignified lady
    and perfectly within her rights not to have to be mauled- if that is what made her
    nervous of going for the ol' body hug..

    it may well have had more to do with this recent little faux pas though

    one senses an imminent stampede the white house mightnt be too happy about

    I don't think so, it was the squeezy look on his face. I went to a nun's school and we were told always to have a phone book
    handy for these occasions (like if we were to feel anything we should (er) not)

    Last time I checked the Lisbon treaty didn't contain any hug Silvio provisions even without the guarantees. Mind you I haven't seen the latest Coir posters today...
