An Isreali local authority has set up a team of counsellors and Psychologists to "rescue" Jewish girls who are involved with Arab men. Inter-religious romance is disaproved of by the Israeli authorities but this is one of the first official efforts to stamp them out. I feel if an Irish official body tried a scheme here to prevent Irish girls going with immigrant men there would be a deafening chorus of protest both from home and internationally. Indeed if an American authority tried to prevent inter-racial romances the outcry would be even greater. However this measure in Israel has raised no eyebrows.

The normal standards of behaviour are no longer expected from Israeli society.
Their unconditional supporters are doing them a huge disservice by withholding criticism and condemning any questioning of standards.
This is the increasingly abnormal society that results from an unthinking feeling victim-hood and moral superiority.
There are some internal voices that speak out but overwhelmingly the Israelis accept that their state is allow to be an exceptional to international norms and laws.

I understand the need to protect your culture, it is an entirely natural need stemming from a feeling of genetic kinship within the family and radiating out to village, tribe, county and state.
But we are supposed to be moving beyond these more animal rationales.

On a similar note there is a real "problem" (from the perspective of Jewish women) with Jewish men marrying shiksa women apparently. Especially in the US.
Sites I have briefly scanned seem to say that jewish women can be domineering. Obviously a stereotype, probably more to do with numbers in large cities.

Israelis are shocking racists generally.
Their behaviour to Arabs and when abroad in places like India can be truly shocking.
This is what makes the constant bogus allegations of anti-semitism against anyone who criticises the apartheid state all the more ridiculous.

And most of us are genetically predisposed to marry and copulate with our own ethnic group and even our own genetic group.
That's why we had to create the taboo against incest, otherwise we would all look and behave a lot like the British royal family.
