    FG in Donegal South West

Given the latest voting at the Udaras na Gaeltachta elections and last year's local elections I would like to ask members their opinion on how Fine Gael stand in the constituency.

In the run-up to the next general election a number of questions must be asked.

Can Fine Gael continue to secure sufficient votes so not to lose their seat to Sinn Fein in the next GE? (Given the likely event that Piaras Doherty will run for the Dail)

Will the current FG candidate run again? Is it time for a change of candidate in the constituency? If so, who instead?

I'd be very interested to hear the opinions of the members. I myself am a Fine Gael supporter but keen to hear other opinions.

    Gathered that Jack.

Firstly, did you check out those tallies in Milford. Nightmare. Go back to Elections/ Udaras thread.

Dinny McGinley is highly thought of, even by shinners. He is just a bloody nice guy. Your other options are Terence Slowey or Barry O Neill. I would stick with Dinny.

Big Pearse Doherty is breathing down your neck though.

    Cormac,

I see Piaras is jumping on the Dinny bandwagon and fighting for the Irish in the USA.
