Bertie's sartorial style (that anorak) made most doubt his potential as a statesman but he's managed that perception fairly well while in power. I'm sure a similar makeover to rid Kenny of that John Kerry-like drone of a delivery will make him a suitable leader also.

I love the way appearance seems to be such an issue when it comes to politicians, but the man speaks sense and comparing him to the ‘leader of incompetence’ is a bit unfair!

He's improved a lot in all ways since he’s become leader and he's still getting better. He's a lot more effective in the Dail then he was originally and his speaking is still getting better. His speech at the Ard Fheis was his best yet I thought. I think he will be a far better Taoiseach and leader of government then Bertie, but I don't think that would be too hard. It will be interesting to see how he performances as Taoiseach, but I do think he will do a very good job. He won’t be afraid to make the hard decisions as he’s shown already for example.

Enda Kenny is quite articulate and also hes got a backbone, the Taoiseach is completely lacking both these characteristics. Kennys only fault is his monotone voice which is gradually declining. He has also got a great common touch with people, John Bruton and the infamous Michael Noonan are lacking in that department. I genuinely think Enda Kenny is one of the more complete political leaders Ireland has had in some time. His speech at the Ard Fheis was surprisingly, a bitter disapointment. However He made abolute sh1t out of Bertie in the dail this week.

Well now Rock, myself and 37,000 other electrified Fine Gaelers would beg to disagree with you there. And such is Enda's attraction to floating voters that even you have admitted that your best chance of election is in transfers from Tom Hayes' now gargantuan surplus - all thanks to the Enda effect.

But Enda has improved hugely from his early days as leader - and of particular benefit to Fine Gael is that he scores very high poll ratings for honesty, integrity and competence - the very things that our present Taoiseach scores lowest on. If the election is fought on that battlefield, FG could be onto a winner.

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.

Have great time for Enda- under his leadership we have scored major successes in the local, European and Meath bye-elections in 2004; he has delivered the goods, of this there is no question.
He is man of intelligence and integrity-complete opposite the current taoiseach when you think about it.

Now if only he stop parting his hair....But at least he doesn't spend a years salary on make-up i suppose
