    FG:Will need an overall majority!

I was just looking at their policies there and after looking at the the Vincent Browne Tonight Programme its seem to me that Fine Gael will need an overall majority to form the next Government.

The Labour Party wont do business with them unless FG move to the left with their programme for Government.

    FF...It won't happen

So basically, FG need Barack Obama and not Enda Kenny.

FF love the fact that the opposition are split straight down the middle. Even SF are vying to cash in on it.

Personally, I think a Labour/FG government would be a disaster for FG.

Would FG go into government with SF subject to certain strict conditions?

And you made up all this nonsense WHERE, exactly?

With the mood in the country labour are playing it dicey protecting public workers from any kind of cuts/efficiencies.

People aren't stupid and their populist position won't bear fruit. FF are a big no-no. The shinners are still supporting murderers.

Wouldn't be surprised if FG came close to an overall majority.

Depends when the election is called though.

Well i think Gilmore had indicated he has no interest in doing a pre election deal with FG.

There are differences between FG and Labour but it would depend on how the Dail is made up after the next election.

A Labour/FG coalition would be crap IMO. We need principled leadership, not more consensus politics.

It's a fair point that FG and Lab are diverging and a deal between the two after the next election will be more difficult and the government more unstable than had it been after the last election. If it proves impossible (which i doubt) it is also a fair question how FG would form a government.

I think FG/Greens is possible, if they're not decimated in the next GE.
Also has much changed since the Mullingar Accord??

I don't think it's nonsense. It's my reading of things. FG don't have a ''Leader'' per SE. Look at Britain, David Cameron looks like a Prime Minister and could push the tories over the line ( I know we have PR and they have FPTP) but he has more credibility with the people than Enda Kenny. They need somebody who can inspire the people to vote FG. They need an overall because they wont be able to form a stable coalition.

    FG/SF...

Rte could save money by broadcasting their cabinet meetings instead and the Monday Night Comedy.
