Fine Gael website brought to you by the BBC?

Hats off to Suzy Byrne over at http://www.mamanpoulet.com/fine-gael...ks-to-the-bbc/ for finding this out.

Fine Gael got themselves a new logo a few weeks ago, and a new website was due to launch at the same time, however, it's been delayed.

However, if you go check out www.finegael.org - home you'll see what appears to be a blatant copy of the BBC - Homepage website with a Fine Gael logo thrown in.

Credit to Steph for the screengrabs and rather excellent (and nerdy) analysis of how identical the website code is, including a blog comment by a designer of the BBC site, saying the work is theirs, and that their site was designed in-house..

Check the whois information for finegael.org- the site is registered to a gentleman by the name of Vincent Gribbin, who is responsible for the Fine Gael website.

Very interesting, it seems eerily similar to the new temporary Sinn Fein website, Sinn Féin in its use of blogging software as a CMS.

I'm sure the BBC will be looking forward to it.
