What is the justification for Fine Gaelers being so cocky?

I have been reading the Noel Whelan and a few other threads and the arrogance of Fine Gael posters is breathtaking, ok they have gained 3% while their nearest rivals have lost 17% and if a)there was an election tomorrow and b) labour agreed to prop them up, they would form a government (it has to happen some day).

    Some facts:
-They have won 3 elections in the last 50 Years.
-They have spent less time in government than the PDS, since the latter was formed and that reflects their contribution to modern ireland.
    - only enda kenny and richard bruton on their front bench have ministerial experience (to be contrasted with their labour peers).
    - by the time they got into government in 94, labour had their mistakes over with (eg they didn't leak the budget) could be described as leading the government.
    - a major national asset was sold under questionable circumstances during their last period in office (but let's await Morgiarty part two).
    - they are the only Party found to have been to used pick me ups to avoid vat but them later reversed its policy on corporate donations.
    - the best thing they have done since 1985 was to prop up CJH during the tallaght strategy (but no worries they won't be doing that again).

    What is their story?
What do they really have to be so cocky about (please no personal or generalised remarks about the schools they went to, their beamers or their medical practices)?

(myk this is a partisan thread and HbaP and Flav, you can actually address thread topics than just talking about ff),

Yourself and Big Bobo fancy FG....It's the only explanation.

shouldnt this be used as an example in the thread about trolling?

    What no blueshirt reference?
Does FF not have any protestants among its ranks?
And if we really wanted to go into it im sure we'd find a whole bunch of lapsed catholics in the FF ranks (Hell the last leader was techinically an adulter). But thats their own personal business.

You cannot talk about FG with referencing FF. They are the same damn thing apart from whom took which side in a civil war before any of use were born(Unless there are 80+ plus on the site). The only difference is FF is a lot more corrupt and thats probably due to them being in power so much.

If i were a FG memeber i would be enjoying watching FF reaping the fruits of their labour over the last 10 years and be kinda glad that we didnt get elected have to try and clean up this mess.
Of course that enjoyment would have to be tempered by the fact that the country is in a god awful state and people are losing their jobs....

But the other parties don't stop at that.

Not alone are Fine Gael, subjectively, the second worst party but, objectively, they are the worst second party to be found anywhere.

Okay, I won't talk about FF. I'll talk about you, though.

    You're a tool.

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.
