    Reilly calls for reduction in VAT on cervical cancer vaccine

    Fine Gael Health Spokesperson, Dr James Reilly TD, today (Wednesday) called on the Government to reduce the level of VAT on the cervical cancer vaccine from the higher to the lower rate.

    Just like VAT on tampons...

    Apparently, they are a luxury

    and nappies too I believe

    Where did this myth arise that VAT is a tax on luxuries? It's on just about everything ffs except food and kids clothes.

    Very odd .... non oral vaccines are 21.5% yet oral vaccines are 0% ....
