Fine Gael’s A&E proposals put students’ lives at risk

Fine Gael has called on the Government to introduce a five point plan to cut A&E attendances by up to a 1/3. The plan which includes penalizing people who attend A&E units and also happen to be drunk, may put lives at risk.

The proposals ignore the fact that the vast majority of those attending A&E units are actually in need medical aid and further that the majority of those in attendance never cause any disturbance to staff or fellow patients.

One of the key planks of the policy calls for the doubling of A&E fees for those found to be under the influence of alcohol. The proposed fee of almost €100 will discourage people who may need medical aid from seeking it and will hit those on low incomes hardest, students in particular.

No, what will happen is the little ************************s will get the AE bill sent to mommy and doddys house and when it hits mommy and doddy in the pocket we;ll see what happens.
and as for Adults it will make them take responcibility for their actions.

FINE GAEL WANTS TO KILL TEENAGERS!!!!

in other news the FF-PD government continues to oversee a horrific A&E crises, two years after they promised that all waiting lists would be "completely eliminated"

I'm glad you think it's so funny.

BTW - People in A&E aren't on 'waiting lists'

Oh I know, they can't get into the ************************************g hospital to get onto the crappy waiting lists because of the balls Fianna Fail made of the health service.

Get off your pedistal, it's be like Hitler being critical of the Russian for their bad treatmetn of the Jews.

What I love is the way that the link provided by TKWhiskers brings anyone who clicks on it straight to this:

RAINBOW IN TATTERS, their crappy heealthcare plans can't touch the "World class health service" that FF has created, as promised in 2002, god I love this utopia.

Another shallow PR stunt from the people who are willing to put students’ lives at risk just to get in to Government.

But I guess we shouldn’t be surprised, these are the same people who made Bridget McCole's last days a living hell…

What would Fianna Fáil have done differently, and what would have been the legal basis?

They did indeed, and when FF sorts out the health service they can afford to critique others ideas on it.

Why would students be hit by this?! Have you had a wee bit too much sherry trifle today?

By the way - have you given up pretending that you're not TKWhiskers yet?! Your tone on this thread would certainly make me think so
