Leo Varadkar, on RTE re. health service.

Anyone hear him today on Rodney Rice programme ? Didn't hear it myself, but friend says she was half listening to it and LV seemed to suggest that the faults in the health service were caused by SIPTU. At that stage, seemingly, David Begg nearly swallowed LV whole live on air. Can anyone fill in the gaps ?

LV said that the reason there were no redundancies when the HSE was set up was down to SIPTU!!!!!!!!!!I'm sure Bertie and Martin are delighted to have a minority union within the health service blamed for its abundance of admin staff!!!

I think LV did a fine good job putting Miss Mealy mouth Deirdre DeBurca back in her box. She was bile inducing to listen too and asking for FG and lab to support the Government in their actions to help the country, LV said fine, give us cabinet posts and a real say, but what you really want is a Zimbabwe type oppostion. we need more politicans like LV, not afraid to speak his mind, Deburca IMHO is finished politically. No chance of a Dail seat and the greens will be out on their arse soon enough.

Ireland's No. 1 thatcherite Dr. Leo blames unions, immigrants and the public sector for everything wrong with the economy. He is a essentially just a mouth piece for corporations, big business and the rich. Without a doubt the greatest threat to the Irish people since O'Duffy and his blueshirts.

Apparatchik was funny. Total wind-up merchant, but still funny.

I believe he's from Dublin - his father is Indian and his mother is from Waterford I think.
