    Must have a good chance of a 3rd in Dublin South. With Brennan sadly departed, Kitt retiring and Ryan likely to face a Green backlash we could see a whole new picture here.

    Interesting point & FG have made it to 3 in the past here of course.

    I'm sure that FG will win the by election, but it will be more of a problem retaining the seat in the GE.

    Last time FG did well to get two seats off 1.64 quotas. It's certainly possible that they could get up to three seats - but it's a big ask - even with retirements, death & the electoral tide helping them.

    But it's certainly possible.

    FG will more than likely take another seat in Waterford with Senator Paudie Coffey,however twill be at the expense of the retiring Labour TD Brian O'Shea so it's catch 22 really!

    There's nothing dramatic about getting 2 seats with 1.64 quotas in a 5-seater - anything less would be a failure.
