"The bold boys in Sinn Fein dont like me" - Enda

Can I just make an observation about tonights "Week in Politics" show.

I have never seen a more pitiful display from a Party leader in my life, as what I have just witnessed from Enda Kenny.

Not only was it pitiful, but it was downright disengenuous.

For Enda Kenny to say, that Sinn Fein arrived on the Rossport 5 issue from nowhere, (repeated by Hanafin, another waste of space), was nothing short of a downright lie. He is a liar.

However, the bigger lie came afterwards.

For Enda kenny to try to rationalise opposition from people like me to his "invisibility" on this particular issue, as some sort of SF plot, because "He raised the issue of a secret deal between SF and the Government, about the possible release of the men in jail in relation to Gerry Mc Cabes killing" is a complete and utter lie. In fact it was a sickening lie.

Instead of supporting the family of Gerry Mc Cabe in their campaign to keep the men in jail, which I don;t agree with, but accept they are entitled to their opinion, Kenny is using the position of that family to hide behind, and attack SF.

It is cowardly, and it is gutless. And like I said before, a lie. He is a liar.

I have attacked Enda Kenny on many occasions here. It has been commented on by FG posters. They are entitled to their opinion, fair enough.

But, my opposition has never been as some sort of campaign to attack him because of the Gerry Mc Cabe issue. It is simply because I do not believe he is properly representing his constituents in the first place, and not properly representing people like me, in opposing the selling of Irish natural resources, as an opposition leader.

But he hides behind the memory of Gerry Mc Cabe, once again making it a political football. So much for respecting his memory. Instead, and I don;t say this lightly, Enda Kenny is whoring the memory of the man, by using him as an exucse for his own cowardice and ineptitude.

A liar and a coward, certainly not a potential leader.

God I don't know where to start! What a load of nonsense!

ROC: Again I ask - why does Enda rile you so easily?! And if he is such a pitiful leader of the opposition, why do you worry so much about his performances?!

They (all the political parties) are ganging up on Sinn Fein because Sinn Fein are attracting more and more votes. Every week I hear that McDowell complaining about Sinn Fein. If he was so morally correct maybe he should concentrate on his fellow politicans who are always up to no good. Politicans are good at telling things in ways that suit themselves anyway.

    Quite true. A few examples:

    "Murder is wrong" (Mary Lou)
    "Republicans can't be criminals" (McLaughlin)
"I've asked the IRA, and they say they had nothing to do with the Northern Bank heist" (McGuinness, member of IRA "Army Council") ( )
"Sinn Fein won't get involved in the politics of condemnation" (Pat Doherty, refusing to condemn the McCabe murder)
And (my own particular favourite) - the hilarious lies and excuses cooked up by the SF spin office to explain their admission that the Colombia Three were, in fact, in Colombia with the authority of the SF leadership (took them 3 months to come up with it though!)

They need to contradict themselves sometimes because of the nature of their organisation. I wouldn't analyise everything they say because that would be stooping to the level of Paisley.

Btw, I've started a thread about SF in the SF section. I'm not their biggest fan as you'll see!

Which is obviously far worse than simply doing the decent thing and murdering him, as that gang of thugs called the IRA (who are, of course, inextricably linked to Rock's party) did.

Rock, that post of yours is simply nauseating.

Well let’s face it Kenny is trying to get back the seat that was lost in Mayo last time. And lets be honest, he did not actually poll too well, about 3,000 votes behind Gerry Cowley in the last GE. I think he will have the embarrassment of not topping the poll in Mayo, one he will share with Rabbitte.
I think both Gerry and the Sinn Fein vote will rise significantly in Mayo and if FG does not get their seat back here, in his own back garden, then the chances for the rainbow are extremely dented.
