FG's Barry Walsh calls for a General Election

Cowen unfit to be Taoiseach. Only removal of FF will restore trust in political life

Young Fine Gael (YFG) has today demanded that a General Election be held this summer, following the May 6th departure date named by Bertie Ahern. Speaking this morning, YFG President Barry Walsh said:

As Charles Peguy, the French poet, once said: "He who does not bellow the truth when he knows the truth makes himself the accomplice of liars".

Following Mr. Ahern's departure, the people of Ireland deserve a chance to deliver a verdict on his accomplices in this affair. In the interests of democracy there should be a general election in June.

They would be better off letting FF wallow in the mess they have made.
A champion of the people emerges with the age-old and appealing promise of "something for nothing" - to be financed through every-increasing taxes. Supply and demand are thrown out of gear - the overhead goes up; the effective use of human energy goes down; the standard of living is lowered because money cannot buy wealth that is not produced.

Please let Enda say on RTE1 now that he wants a general election. He will get electorally destroyed. The country doesn't need or want an election and the country is not REQUIRED to have an election.
Those who think they know it all upset those of us that do.........
