I generally wouldn't want to use any phone except a Nokia.
I've had two of those 6310s and they're the best. Solid, and they hold a charge for about a week, unlike my wife's iPhone.

I have a workhorse Nokia...a bit different to Enda's but equally old

The problem is, as you get older, trying to see small print and trying to fiddle with tiny, thumbnail buttons is a pain...

I can see text clearly on my Nokia, everything is simple and un-fussy...

I'd love one that takes those lovely large, high resolution photos, though, and which had the Internet....

But I had my sister's upscale model one day and I couldn't see text, was afraid I was deleting stuff..

There was too much going on in a small space...

My teenage son goes to my handbag when he has friends around. They take out my Nokia and marvel at it....

the only nokias worth having are the older ones. Their recent models have been fairly woeful. So far behind other manufacturers, its no wonder they are losing market share but you can see why the older ones are still popular...even with Edna

Use a 6303 for work and its basic but decent battery. Use blackberry otherwise and would never go back to a htc or apple after using both. Blackberry may not be around forever but I'll always use one as long as they are. Does most of the stuff an iphone or htc will, but way better battery, sound and build quality imo

Used to be very Nokia-loyal myself until they closed the Bochum plant (2000 jobs) and moved to Romania for "cost reasons". The factory was also profitable for them (Nokia) as well. Most likely, not profitable enough.

Now I do not buy Nokia anymore, still have a 6310 as backup though.
