    Kenny's u-turn on "it's not your fault".

Back in December on his address to the nation, Enda Kenny looked the electorate straight in the eye and said "it's not your fault". Many of us on p..ie took issue with this simplistic and populist stance.

It now appears that Kenny has made a u-turn. Did someone slap him over the wrist at Davos, or is he finally conceding that everything wasn't the fault of the bankers and former government.

The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

    Here is the quote.

The Taoiseach has said the problem with our economy was that people went mad borrowing in a system that spawned greed, went out of control and led to the crash.

Actually people went mad lending and they tried to lend a lot more than people borrowed. I was constantly getting letters offering me loans and credit cards. I binned the lot. But many people were not as pessimistic.

Well, it is more diplomatic than admitting they were telling lies.
