FG TD rescued by opposition after own party refused to give him Dáil speaking time

Rather extraordinary, new Fine Gael TD Peter Mathews couldn't get time to speak in the Dáil from his own party and had to be given time by the opposition. They were discussing a Technical Group motion asking the Taoiseach to not to agree to any treaty that involved a loss of economic sovereignty.

What did he have to say? Was it pro or anti government?

It seems to be only a matter of time before he jumps. He's no servile backbencher. Thing is, he stood for FG and knew the rules when he won his seat.

He must have been going to say something that his party did not want him to say. Good on the opposition TD's for giving him the time. FG are beginning to look more and more like the last government every day!

Apart from that, ye know, IMF thing the last crowd were responsible for.

    A subtle distinction.

Drip drip effect. Listened to Lucinda crighton on the radio today and there is a growing sense of panic inside FG that their time is almost at an end.
Ireland is being raped. Wake up.

    At an end for what?

    The Government?

Pary tell, who will form a government to replace FG and Labour?

FF and Sinn Fein, both of them combined on a mighty 33/34%?

    This intrigues me. Please elaborate.
