Why? Because so many people on this site criticize the fact that so many of our public representatives are teachers. Now when we have a TD who is other than a teacher, and has somewhat diverse qualifications, he is also criticized.

I would imagine you have your fair share.

Now do you have anything remotely intelligent to contribute?

This is one of the most pathetic threads I have ever come across. Yes I know that times are very tough for a lot of people, and I don't say what I'm about to say lightly, but ffs €150 over an entire year is not something to be getting worked up about, especially for someone who supports the party that wrecked the country!

There are far worse things than that coming in the budget.

An average domestic house will discharge 400kgs of biowaste to ground over a year, which will degrade naturally. An average farm will discharge over 78,000kgs of biowaste to soil each year through slurry spreading, an activity which is responsible for two thirds of all water pollution in this country.

Its a S£it tax ffs..... Europe asked we clean up our water not put a tax on s£it, if we really wanted to clean up our water we would enforce Nitrates directives and stop farmers spreading millions of tonnes of faeces into the waterways, but the Farmers Govt wont do that.....

He said the total 150 euro spread out over the year was only two euro a week. Does he not realise that two euro a week is a lot to some people. In the early 90s, I earned 170 euro per week as a married man and let me tell you, Murphy, not alone did every pound count but every penny.

    His profile says it all
Eoghan is a Fine Gael TD in Dublin South East.
In 2009, Eoghan was elected to Dublin City Council to represent the Pembroke-Rathmines ward.
Before entering politics, Eoghan worked in international arms control, mostly in the area of nuclear weapon disarmament. He has worked for various organisations including the United Nations, in London, Geneva and Vienna. Upon his election to Dublin City Council, he left his job as a speechwriter at the nuclear test-ban treaty commission in Vienna to dedicate himself full-time to politics in Ireland.
Eoghan studied English and Philosophy (BA) in UCD, and International relations (MA) in King’s College London, UCL.
He lives in Gallery Quay, Dublin 2 and enjoys watching rugby, reading and adventure racing.
Sorry but what exactly is 'all' that his profile apparently 'says'?

Because if his background is not worthy of the Dail then the teachers and jumped up councillors and career politicians aplenty in the Dail could be in a spot of bother

Reads as an ad hominem attack really.. Something this site is proficient at
