Its a S£it tax ffs..... Europe asked we clean up our water not put a tax on s£it, if we really wanted to clean up our water we would enforce Nitrates directives and stop farmers spreading millions of tonnes of faeces into the waterways, but the Farmers Govt wont do that.....

On Matt Cooper's show this evening, Fine Gael's Eoin Murphy described the forthcoming septic tanks inspection fee and household charge as minimal. when Cooper challenged the Dublin-based deputy, describing the legislation as heaping more misery on the irish people, Murphy was extremely dismissive and arrogant of Cooper's comments. He said the total 150 euro spread out over the year was only two euro a week. Does he not realise that two euro a week is a lot to some people. In the early 90s, I earned 170 euro per week as a married man and let me tell you, Murphy, not alone did every pound count but every penny.
