This is just the same shpiel we see on these theads for years. If someone is young and might have a future in politics pour ************************e over their heads. Power, Creighton etc have received the same brain dead stuff.
The people who said nothing or applauded when our lords and masters were bankrupting the country, with the help of the cheer leading so called free press, are now trying to denigrate young politicians who might have a future in the evoluion of this democratic republic.

I can understand SF or ULA putting the boot in on ideological grounds (although the boot goes pretty quickly on the other foot with the likes humourless Uncle Joe, pseuds like Claire Daly and the strident Mary Lou). But a lot of the time you can smell FFers and anti-everything Europhobes.
In reality, Leo Varadkar is a very promising politician who politicians in other parties should (and actually probably do) fear. I like his non-PC attitude. It's a new breed of streetwise politician not encumbered by bleeding heart sensitivities, prepared where necessary to offend judiciously (break a few Uncle Joe Stalin eggs if you like).
And if there's an EZ referendum, I think we can expect Varadkar to go in with guns blazing in not too dissimilar a fashion to Michael O'Leary, and the way he went for Declan Ganley!
