Hmmm, alright cabinet but surely if we're not gonna get a senior in transport we should switch Hogan and Gormley around?

Wake up and get real the Alternative is as dead as Charlie Haughey! So you think that it is possible to get fg,lab,pd,gp and all of the independents? That is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard. Fact: Jackie Healy-Rae, Noel Grealish and Bev i.e. the FF'ers by a different name would rather have their toes and fingers cut off and then fed to the the dogs in front of their very eyes then serve under such as daft set up! And what if one of labours old codgers drops dead, you're ************************ed then aren't ya?

This post wins Politics.ie award for daftest post of 2007. Congratulations.

I suppose you could swap the 2 around, but as a cabinet it is very strong. and even the junior ministers are very strong.

This would be a great cabinet!!! (dripping in sarcasm)

It would be ripped apart by internal friction and FF in about a year.

I mean seriously how could Harney in Transport be compatible with the Greens?

The alternative hasn't a chance, this is all wishful and wasteful thinking.

Au contraire - they'd be toothless - too many conflicting ideologies.
That's complete nonsense. I disagree with you.

Bev could vote for Alternative because of the Mayo factor, JHR could be bought off for a deal with his constituents, Noel would be happy with a ministry, proabaly more than FF would offer. As for your remarks about Labour TDs dying, (Not very Tasteful) But FF have a lot of very old TDs of their own. As for this being a daft post, it is a valid post as it is still a possibility, that it could happen.

well if you look at the full cabinet, Harney would have transport and Emaon Ryan of the GP would have Traffic Management, so they would work together, so there would be a little thing called comprimise. As for the cabinet falling apart by internal friction, that would seem a little odd as FG/Lab/GP were quite happy to go in with each other,so now out of 31 ministries, there would only be 3 changes 2 PDs and 1 IND all that is needed is a little comprimise.

I don't believe that I live in the same country as these people - Pat Rabbitte, Mary Harney,
Trevor Sargent et al at the cabinet table together!! I believe Pat Rabitte told me himself
at my own doorstep that he would not serve in government with the PDs and isn't he one
of the guardians of morality and ethics in this country. (If you don't remember his early
days in DL when they were in cohoots with the Eastern European Regimes).

If Bertie and FF were hanging on like this these people would be saying it was against the
wishes of the people and lots of other disparaging things as well.
