    New Fine Gael front bench?

What shape do people think it will take? I'm sure Enda will make good use of the new talent at his disposal. There's a great opportunity here for Fg to pick a strong, credible front bench to challenge a government that has already served for ten years.

I'd imagine FG will be more focussed over the lifetime of the next Dail on presenting a team that is capable of governing. I think the front bench should be trimmed somewhat. Last time there was a job for everybody, this time we need to pick a cabinet in waiting.

Enda Kenny- Party Leader & Northern Ireland.
Richard Bruton- Deputy Leader & Finance
    Brian Hayes- Justice
    Phil Hogan- Enterprise and Employment
    Alan Shatter- Foreign Affairs
    Olivia Mitchell- Health and Children
    Dennis Naughten- Agriculture and Food
    Fergus O'Dowd - Education
Lucinda Creighton- Communications and Natural Resources
    Jimmy Deenihan- Arts, Sport, Tourism
Olwyn Enright- Social and family Affairs
    Charlie Flanagan - Defence
David Stanton- Environment and lcoal government
    Terence Flanagan- Transport
Simon Coveny- Community, rural & Gaeltacht affairs
    Paul Keheo- chief whip

    Anybody got a better idea?

Will Enright surive on the front bench? She did a very poor job versus a shambolic Mary Hannifan so she will be at least seriously demoted and I wouldn't rule out that she drops off completely with Shatter and Creighton both jumping ahead of her.

I think she should stay on, just not in Education. Fine Gael won two seats in Laois/ Offaly and would be no harm to reward each candidate elected.

Olwyn will have learned from her first five years and a position like social affairs may suit her better.

    New Fine Gael Front Bench?

I haven't thought about this too much (geographical spread may be a bit off) and as votes are still being counted, I reserve the right to change my mind later...

Those without portfolio would be assigned 'supporting' deputy spokespersons and structural roles within the organisation.

This also does not allow for possible 'new' ministeries such as one for migration for example....
