Why are Fine Gael supporters so bloody sensitive?

I notice that if you view Fine Gael, its leader or members in a negative light, the FG faithful here on Pie get very upset. They place their mighty leader on a pedestal, which is their right but when you challenge their views you are accused of being a FF supporter, some may become nasty, sensitive or upset. Is it from years of being rejected by the people...?

To be fair that can be said of other political parties. I think the FG guys on here are pretty cool most of the time.

    A silly thread...

It's because they know they are pursuing the exact same policies as FF and told blatant lies during the election campaign about re-negociating the bailout terms and burdensharing with bondholders.. However most are too stubborn and pig ignorant to admit it so they become ultra defensive and accuse anyone of pointing out the facts of being a FF hack. I think they are secretly ashamed and embarassed.

You should be in Fine Gael. You're an embarrassment to Irish republicanism with your conservative westbrit values.

Party hacks will always be party hacks, no matter who is in power. I suppose you need people to stand up with the politicians and their political beliefs. Just as important as having totally impartial comentators critising in a similar matter.

    Debate is good.

You really hate common civility and manners, don't you.

Factual is ten times the republican you will ever be.

Not my intention to post silly threads or take pot shots at any supporter of any party. I have noticed it cannot be said of other political parties. The FF supporters log on to Pie receive a bundle of negative posts, slack and even abuse. But it seems to be 'water of ducks back,' often replying with a witty come back. FG supporters seem to be more sensitive and fragile...
