    Focus

    Fine Gael members should take heart from todays Irish Times poll. It shows our support holding steady, now in these last few days we need just one last push to take back a few percentage points from Fianna Fail and get this country a better government like it deserves.

    It may come as a surprise to Bertie Ahern that Enda Kenny’s contract for a better Ireland is what we genuinely aim to achieve in government, Mr Ahern is so used to making empty promises that he is simply unable to recognise our honesty when we put our case to the Irish people. When we say that these are going to be our priorities in government and we will deliver on them, we mean it.

    So far in this campaign our focus has been on where we will be better that the current government when it comes to health, education, safety on our streets, now we have to focus on the message that a Fine Gael led government will protect our economy. We will ensure that jobs are protected and our economy strengthened by making Ireland a better place to do business.

    In five years time we want to put ourselves before the Irish people and ask them to re-elect us because we have given them great government, we want to say that we made our commitments and we have delivered on them, that is a change that the Irish people deserve.

    The question that voters need to answer when they go to the polls on Thursday is simple. Do they want 5 more years of arrogance, ineptitude and squandering of their money, or do they want a better government, one that spends their money wisely, that provides honesty, integrity and strong leadership, do they want a Better Ireland.

    It is never too late, FG on 27 that's up 5 from 2002 and should see us break the 50 seats, FF have not won this election yet, it is all still to play for
    By 2020, 12.75Lts of petrol will cost you just under €30, today it will cost you €16.42 exactly.

    The core vote for the parties is: Fianna Fáil 39 per cent (up four points); Fine Gael 21 per cent (down one point);

    Is it valid, given how the undecideds seem to be breaking, to give FG a 6% bonus and FF just 1%
