FF are a collective of electorally driven independents.

FG dream that they are christian democrats but their jealousy of FF's success drives them to any length for a chance of one upping them.

If FG ever copped themselves on, decided on a central philosophy, stopped internally bickering and gained some election savvy they might amount to something.

Eh...that's kind of what's happening now

If you had posted that 5years ago, you would have looked very shrewd.

Now, though, you just look silly and out-of-touch

"kind of" is the right phrase to use, I agree with you Father

This election, unless they exceed their 2002 total, should not be seen as progress for FG, rather only regaining lost ground.

While FG are wedded to the crutch of Labour and their incompatible policies I simply can't see FG ever challenging FF to be the largest party in the country.

That should be your goal imo. Largest party in Ireland.
