Jesus. If Enda's hair is a political issue I think I should leave the country.
Enda is no Clintonesque statesman, I'll not deny that. I but ah-ah-ah B..b..bertie is hardly a master orator either!

I don't buy the "Enda the lightweight" characterization either, his management of Fine Gael since becoming leader shows he's got leadership ability. The partnership between FG and Lab has thus far looked good. They have varied opinions on a few issues but it's not torn them apart, they have at least as far as public appearances are concerned created a cohesive and unified alternative to FF and whoever is desperate enough to dance with them.
    A poster of some consequence...

I'm sure you know...but then again after reading some of your posts, I don't want to make to many assumptions on your brain capacity...the Taoiseach of the day generally has other political appointments, ya know, as a prime minister, rather than popping up on Q&A. This was also the case with other serving Taoisigh.
When Empty Enda on Q&A last? I honestly can’t remember.

Well sometimes its just glaringly obvious. What happened to FF's smear campign against Enda this week? That off or what?

FF don't have to smear Enda. He does the job fine by himself

Mayo lightweight, when they lose again this time, he'll be forgotten, FG always pick bad leaders, Bruton was a disaster, as was fitzgerald and don't start me on that bunch of cowards and traitors in the 70's

No, I would be bemused and disappointed. But unlike many of the blueshirts on this site, I have other things in my life to care about. Politics isn't the be all and end all.

I don't think I have much to worry about one way or the other. There's much more chance of Brian Cowen being the next Taoiseach than Enda

So you've written off Bertie? Speak volumes when you don't put full support into your leader going into an election.

In any event, most polls and bookies predict FG on 49+. Put Labour on 23, add the Greens and independents, and you're laughing.

Anyway, who cares. FF'ers will say one thing, and FG'ers will say another. Obviously. One thing we can agree on is that the PDs are daffy ducked.

Nope, still think Bertie will be De Man. Just think Cowen has beter chance than Inda.

Sure there's loads of things FFers and FGers tend to agree about, when they're having quiet chats away from the Dail punch and judy show. Neither side like the PDs. In truth, we're not mad about Labour either. Both know in all honesty that FF and FG have very similar ideas on how to run the economy, and that either side would do a decent job of running it on their own.

But we have to keep up appearances, don't we

Olivia O Leary on 5/7 Live followed Bertie in Galway on Saturday. Her analysis was devastating.

Bertie surrounded by Hevyies with their blue suits. All the action of previous campaigns gone a thing of the past. Contact with the people to a minimum. At the end of his visit the local faithful were huddled around and given the last rights " some of us wont be back" was her expression. On to Thurlus and the same result.

This campaign has been a disaster for Bertie Aherne seven days of pure hell on earth. Where O Where is this famed FF machine. The man is like Liam Cosgrave in 77 "Lost". He knows the game is up and he is trying to rally the troops.

The commentry on the FG manifesto launch spoke of Kenny being confident and on top of his brief.

The mood music in this campaign is going all one awy and its not in favour of Bertie Aherne.

Willie O Deas comment of last week " even DeValera didnt win thenm all" is becoming more relevant with each passing day.

    The bookies watch the bookies.
