Large Number of FF callers from Cork on Joe Duffy

Recently I have had some time to listen to Joe Duffy. There appears to be a concerted effort by Fianna Failers in the Cork area to get on air. Interestingly during today's programme which covered the disgraceful dancing on Charlie Haugheys grave an FF lady made the comment about Haughey setting up the National Lottery. He did no such thing. The work was done by Donal Creed FG Minister for Sport. It was set up by the National Lottery Act of 1986 brought in by the FG/Labour Government. The Government changed in 1987 and Haughey formally inaugurated it.

I've noticed it as well over the last few weeks with some of the moronic, empty headed statements and ideas coming out from all ranks..all the FFer's seem to be coming out of the woodwork and outs the heads above the parapet...could it be Der Fuhrer has put the faithful on a war footing...?

She had her facts wrong, and she said 1996 when Haughey & FF were not in power. But to the likes of her, FF is the state -like the ancient Kings of France, Létat cést moi. I did also notice all the FFers from Cork, there must be a concerted drive from there. While I do not approve of the grave thing,to hear some of them so gushing in praise of CJH was very annoying.

Some FF'er on here thought DeValera declared the Republic.

Had to be corrected and told it was Costello who did it after 11 years of FF govt.

There remains much energy and enthusiasm in the Fianna Fáil party. Though nobody doubts for a moment the adversity of the situation in which we find ourselves, it is from the memories chiseled in our hearts by the giants of our past that we draw succour and strength. The willingness of the Fianna Fáil member to fight for his beliefs through the hellfire of criticism and ridicule is emblematic of the strength of character of our movement, and evidence of it's resiliency as we face into the difficult months ahead. Though commentators may have written us off again, the ordinary decent people of Ireland will stand with us when the time comes for our nation to choose. The fact that these proud men make the effort to speak up even in these difficult times simply shows us the strength of character in the party, an advantage which we retain over all others.

Good man. Were you standing in front of the mirror holding a hairbrush to your mouth when you wrote that?

Listen to what the "ordinary decent people" are shouting" f**** off and call an election. You have destroyed our claims to nationhood and done more damage than the black and tans. For God's sake just go.
