I am not a Fianna Failer, but the level of vitriol, abuse, insults and lies directed against them, here and elsewhere take some beating.

God forbid one of their members should "annoy" someone by defending his party.

The willingness of the Fianna Fáil member to fight for his beliefs through the hellfire of criticism and ridicule is emblematic of the strength of character of our movement, and evidence of it's resiliency as we face into the difficult months ahead. Though commentators may have written us off again, the ordinary decent people of Ireland will stand with us when the time comes for our nation to choose. The fact that these proud men make the effort to speak up even in these difficult times simply shows us the strength of character in the party, an advantage which we retain over all others.
Ye're forefathers attempted to destroy our nascent State in 1922 - 23. Ye had to be forced to participate in our parliamentary democracy in 1927. When ye scrabbled together a minority government in 1932 ye brought guns into Leinster House because ye didn't understand what parliamentary democracy was about. AND THEN OUR PROBLEMS BEGAN.

Your problem is that the majority of the ordinary decent people have realised that the MaFFia mantra that a rising tide lifts all boats is seriously untrue. They see the error of your ways ... and that is the beginning of the cure for the State.

Tis amazing the number of posts over the last year on this site that have started with these or similar words...and then proceeded to staunchly defend FF policy.

    Strange that.

No, seriously, you're cracking me up.

You Fianna Failers have no end of tricks.

I suppose you never liked Bertie, which is also the new FF default position.

How stupid do you guys think we are.

Go back over my posts and in my previous character of Blue Poppy- I don't sink to invective (I think) unlike others. However, I am so angry at the results of 13 years of economic mismanagement that you have no idea of the level of vitriol, abuse, and insults (I won't, and don't, need to stoop to lies) that will be directed against MaFFia candidates calling to my door during the next G.E.

Reasoned arguments put in a logical and coherent manner will be respected by reasonable reasoning people. Spotty's stuff is so far into the realms of fantasy that s/he must be shown the true feelings of contributors in as blunt a manner as possible in order to penetrate the depths of thickiness brought about by what appears to be some three generations of in-breeding in the MaFFia gene pool.

    No apologies for that.

No, I think I will be able to beat it, if I try hard enough. I'll throw in a bit of invective, vituperation and contumely for variety. The members are'nt annoying us, they are amusing us. Nothing as good for a laugh as an FFer waffling.

I recall another Murphy guy was a member of Cork City Council. Sort of JHR, he went to USA one St.Patricks day and the US media set him up with a new set of dentures. Poor guy is probably dead by now. Wonder he did not make it to the Dail.
