There remains much energy and enthusiasm in the Fianna Fáil party. Though nobody doubts for a moment the adversity of the situation in which we find ourselves, it is from the memories chiseled in our hearts by the giants of our past that we draw succour and strength. The willingness of the Fianna Fáil member to fight for his beliefs through the hellfire of criticism and ridicule is emblematic of the strength of character of our movement, and evidence of it's resiliency as we face into the difficult months ahead. Though commentators may have written us off again, the ordinary decent people of Ireland will stand with us when the time comes for our nation to choose. The fact that these proud men make the effort to speak up even in these difficult times simply shows us the strength of character in the party, an advantage which we retain over all others.
