    That's one of Willie O'Dea's favourite derogatory terms sort of like the way Republicans in the US refer to the "Democrat Party" instead of the Democratic Party

    I suppose a lot depends on who's using the term and how.

    Willie O'Dea or Cowen talking about blueshirts = bad

    Its usually slagging although I usually try to wear one after an election so I can slag the FFers back.

    Could be an FG slogan for the next election "which would you prefer, a crisp blue shirt ( picture of Enda ) or a dirty pair of underpants ( picture of Cowen holding some bog roll )"
