Embittered McDowell gives bitter interview about FG

Michael McDowell, a clever chap who lost his Dail seat to Lucinda Creighton last time out, gives out about FG. I can't find a link but it's in the Sunday Independent nestled between Glenda Gilson and Rosanna Davison boobs!

Possibly the worst kept secret Irish politics, that he wanted back into FG, but they wouldn't have him, has made him quite bittern. The journos amoung you know that he put out some feelers last year, but got a very cold reception.

In an interview in the Sunday Independent he gives out about reform of the Seanad. This appears to be his line of attack.

I have a theory that he may want to start a new party, but given the clowns that followed him the last time, I think it is merely a bitter swipe at Enda for sending him packing.

Does anybody pay attention to him anymore?

Now that he's redundant he no longer needs to be radical.

    He was never that radical.

He sure a heck wants to maintain the Seanad, probably the single most undemocratic parliamentary house in Western civilisation!

He stood by Bertie, convinced himself he would keep FF straight, had an air of moral superiority but turned a blind eye when it suited him....I could be talking about either man!

    Cheers disgruntled.

He refuses to rule out a return, but he asked Richard Aldous to suss out whether he would be welcomed back into public life. Aldous did a couple of teaser articles in the Mail, which were very poorly received!

Richard Aldous, Bertie Ahern's ghost writer?
