8 or 9 months is just not long enough for anyone to impose their views on a party.
I am sure GL attended parliamentary party meetings, which are usually a frank exchange of views. Did he raise his concerns there, even once?
Did he send emails to Richard Brutan suggesting policies?
Did he write up policy documents, that were shelved by the party?
There seems to be absolutely no evidence whatsoever that Lee was shunned by anyone in the party.
He was given chairmanship of an economics think-tank and didn't bother to call one meeting.
And then he goes around claiming his views were ignored. When it seems he hardly expressed any views while in Fine Gael.
It's a very sad sorry episode and the sooner its put behind everyone the better. Kenny mightn't be the world's greatest leader but he's done a good enough job and he hasn't presided over the loss of 200,000 jobs in a couple of years, a massive increase in our national debt and the blatent con-job that is NAMA, so let's get the GL situation into perspective.
