Harris is like the raving uncle. I'm embarrassed about any remote link to him, but on the other hand delighted when he goes competely bananas in a public area.

Where the men dont fart ??

Fair play to him though I hope Lee's cronies in RTE, especially Olivia O'Leary, get the message. Their boy was simply not up to the job because there are no babysitters to take care of him in politics.

I don't believe that money was the reason but it was one of the reasons. I cannot understand his analysis saying that he lost money by going back to RTE, this is not the case, he would have had an expense account with RTE too on top of his €150k. IMO George is good at converting complicated text into plain english for the layperson but only commenting on things that have gone before. I regularly look at the PQ's that are raised in the Dail and found some of the questions raised by George strange to say the least.

Harris is clearly spinning to maintain the statis quo. He is a scumbag with no mass on honesty (see his defence of Ahearne), preferring to stay on the gravy train...

Leo was only a poor warm up act compared to that polemic by Harris.

Surely RTE will listen to all of this and realise that, while impossible to guage majority opinion, at least for an awful lot of people he has really become a laughing stock now. Every time he goes on the telly and asks a question to a politician in any context or country, if rumours of Washington be true, many will be thinking 'who are you to ask, didn't you try and fail'? I know some here will be still simpering and saying 'isn't he so noble and intelligent', which is an opnion I don't share, but it must be accepted even by them that rightly or wrongly he is damaged goods as a journo.

Does Lee have any of FG's laundry to wash in public. If I were him I'd incandescent with rage.

Jasis, isn't it great to see the old boys protect their territory and savage the newcomer who dared not to play by their rules.

    Long live the republic.
