    Fair play to Lee for having the courage to follow up on his conviction.Speaking on RTE with Sean O'Rourke ,Lee said that his mind was made up when he'd taken a view that he was ;

    "allowing myself to play a role that suited other people"
    Is he referring to people within the party or external lobbies such as IBEC etc. relationship building with FG?

    If he can't take the heat while his party is riding high in the polls and attacking this Government is like shooting fish in a barrel, then clearly it wasn't the career for him, because it can't get much easier for a FG TD.

    Shows a lack of understanding of the real world on his part. If he'd been given too much too soon, it would have caused too many ruffled feathers. It doesn't require the degree in political science to work that out.

    But he always sounds like that....

    I think what is more damaging is the fact he has resigned his seat.. It makes a mockery of the party not just the leader.

    Best of luck to him. I admire his balls

    George has summed up FG a party that has no team ethic and all running around like headless chickens .Weak leadership and going nowhere .

    This is a disaster for democracy it now means FF back in Government for another term ,O dear me . I thought we were going to get a rest .
