This will be my very last comment on the whole affair

I think Brian Lenihan put it best - Fine Gael thought they were getting a politican - George thought he was getting into Government -when the joy of consumation died down - both took a look at the reality - George was unbelievably incapable of promoting himself in the hothouse of interparty politics and badly needed TLC - and FG didn't notice it until it was too late and like any clumsy lover said the wrong thing at the wrong time - both are fault - both were wrong, the break-up went badly for both and both are badly damaged after the affair.

    End of story

    Good link.

Politics is a competitive business and, outside of Dublin South, politicians have to mind their constituency.
Leo V. is a serious politician prepared to invest in his future by running a proper constituency operation.

Report and ignore all you like. As a staunch member of FF the open hatred directed towards me and the party has been obscene. This site is a hotbed of irrational people and a sample of the wider community who think pointing the finger at FF is going to somehow cure their failures in life and their political failures in producing the policies that will encourage the electorate to achieve the vote numbers to get in to power. If you are one of the people with this sick hatred of FF I suggest you REPORT for treatment

I find bannings for abusive behaviour far more satisfying.

I don't expect him to get banned for this, but I hope it's added to his debit side.

This is the key: George Lee thought he would in in government within 12 months. 9 months later it is apparent that it is more likely to be another two years (dear God, no!)

George wasn't cut out for 3 years in Opposition, but Enda didn't have the gumption to realise this and carefully handle this 'thoroughbred' enough to keep him in the stable.
Unenthusiastic about any of the buggers.

Alright, Ignore list then. You're being too "precious". Do yourself a favour and buy a scissors and cut the hair across your ass.

The FG Chief Whip is keeping a low profile on this. Can't see him getting a gold star in his next report!

Perhaps you should be banned for personal abuse ? When I read clowns like you talking about banning it suggests there is a clique controlling this site. Since I joined this site I have challenged the Anti FF Party to state their policies that would have been better than FF and what would be better than FF in the future. As in the case of Lee over last two days the answer to the challenge is deafening silence. Sneering and smearing FF is okay but a little gentle retaliation makes the self-righteous not only uncomfortable but dangerously unstable

Was it your granny that told you all about the blueshirts ?
You do know that was in the 1930s and things have moved along a bit, well for most of us it has anyway.

Putting on my physco-babble hat, I think you may be a bit fustrated and need to get a little action.
Maybe then you will see everything in a new light.
Hell you might even leave your pubescent insults and ramblings behind you.

I just love when ff members/supporters label others as failures, it takes irony to new levels.
I would say the decision yesterday by the Loyds Group endorsed how much of a failure the handling of Ireland Inc's economy and banking system has been by ff.
