In the long run, the only real loser in this is George Lee.

Exactly what constituency work did you have to do to get the €55 daily 'showing your face in work' allowance, the circa €3k 'walking around money', the money for sitting on Oireachtas Committees, or even the constituency travel allowance? Answer - sweet feck all!

Dream on. Even if FG are not primarily to blame, which I accept btw, the public perception will be that the 'Club' shut out George because he was not 'one of their own' and did not conform to order of things. FG will take a big hit. FF will be the largest party again in the next poll and Enda Kenny is too much damaged goods to ever be considered as an alternative Taoiseach by the middle ground in Ireland.

Lee's complaint as I understood it was that the non-Dublin TD's seemed to have preserved their mileage and overnight allowances for travel and bednights not actually incurred. It was not a personal complaint.

That is how he tried to dress it up. I bet his faeces don't smell either.

Will have to stop posting if I keep saying pos things about FG....but they also said they were working hard researching and discussing and brainstorming to come up with alternative and productive counter policies to the government...(and for their manifesto)


I just felt from all of Georges media appearances yesterday...and pat kenny fluffed on the "well what policies or ideas did you come up with George??" question....one of the FGers today said he didn't even convene a meeting of the commitee he was chair of....(.might be spinning)....but one thing is for sure...you need to persuade,cajole,hastle,flirt and annoy if you want your ideas heard!!
