Whilst it is nice to see the FF attack poodle Noel Whelan relegated to the audience

One wonders why he is there at all ?

He is an especially talentless hack / camp follower, who relies on the mediocrity of the current system to give him some scraps. His persistent agenda is to keep pushing reform away - and keep talent at bay

    See here for some background
The Mystery of Noel Whelan The Cedar Lounge Revolution

Noel Whelan even getting to comment on George Lee is an injustice.

    What an intelligent comment.

Those who spread the slurry to grow your food may be far more capable and intelligent than those who can talk the talk in RTE and elsewhere - the celebrities who impress the sheeple.

Do you think all the urban TDs are of a superior class? That only they will create a better society?

Conor Linehan? Bertie Ahern? Seán Haughy? Michael Woods? Noel Ahern?

Seriously what did he expect to achieve by now? He stood and won a seat for the OPPOSITION party in a bye election, not the ruling party.... and was never going to be the ruling party after the bye election. He couldn't have implemented changed until at least after the next election, then if George had stuck around, FG could/would have been in power and then he could have got his agenda/plans implemented.... If he wanted to get his plans implented now, why didn't he stand for FF?? Sad to see him go by the way..
I might have appointed somebody but I appointed them because they were friends, em, not because of anything they had given me..... (Brian Dobson interview with Bertie Ahern, September 27, 2006 )

How many times has this "institutionalised" slur been repeated? Pat Kenny has thrown it in at least four times npw.

Yes, only Pat Kenny going out to bat for Lee, with Ivan Yates letting him have it.

But its an excellent Frontline. PK excellent at this breaking news type stuff.

David Farrell of UCD speaks of survey done re Malta which has exactly our single transferable vote/ multi-seat constituency electoral system. Results show our TDs do far more local constituency work

Love these "Politics is broke but how can we fix it?" discussions

Lee's resignation shows up the cleavage between professional politicians and the rest of the country.
