    If parties are structured in any proper fashion then meritorous behaviour will be recognized and the benefits will come.

    It sure beats the 'i'm bored after 2 years and if I don't get my way I am off,' approach. From a FG point of view what state would the party be in if every single TD took that approach? Those type of politics are a recipe for a mess.

    That doesn't work for women - although they often think it will and keep on slogging away unrewarded. She probably has nothing to lose.

    Could also be a straw in the wind re Enda.

    It was a stupid move. There aren't that many women in FG parlamentary party and after the next election who knows how many there will be?

    Assuming FG are in government, the number of ministers and location of same will be dependent on how both FG and Labour do. Lucinda would have a stronger arguement if she brings in a running mate.

    Lucinda would need senior front bench support for a heave against enda to work, otherwsie it would be like the gang of 4 in the early 90s against John Bruton.

    if tis frustrating in the dail after two years, then the opportunity should be to identify what reform is need and work on that.

    Ridiculous. Every jackass politician wants to be Obama now. 2 years on the job with a leader who has gotten them to unprecedented popularity and she publicly knifes him. Next celeb who wants to be a FGer, stick them into her voting area. Kenny needs to obliterate her or risk looking weak.

    Disgraceful shoneenism by FG in allowing Enright to remain on front bench after the expenses scandal. Not to mention Phil Hogans inability to live on €105k a year plus expenses! How are FG any different from Fianna Fail?

    What a hilarious article ... does this woman realise 2012 may yet arrive before FG get into power .. and that's IF they get in at that stage .... how does she feel to be looking at potentially another 3 years before;

    1. FG get into power if they do
    2. Getting a Ministerial position if she gets one in the first place
    3. The possible little fact of having to be re-elected in the event of a General Election to become a Minister

    Silly comments
