Lucinda's continuing to annoy Enda, now about FG's attempts to bring in a mini-list system for Dail elections

Several prominent members of the party said they opposed the list on the basis that it was elitist and divisive. A number of TDs also said they were not happy with the manner in which the parliamentary party was asked to approve the document, without catching sight of it, but on the basis of presentations made by one of its key authors, environment spokesman Phil Hogan.
The strongest public criticism of this was made by Dublin South East TD Lucinda Creighton who told Newstalk that backbenchers were expected to play the role of “performing monkeys” with respect to the document.
Ms Creighton’s objections to quotas for women candidates did force part of the document to be withdrawn.

It would seem Lucinda has no problem playing the role of performing monkey when it comes to facilitating the media....as long as she gets the headline then its to hell with the party. It could all back fire badly on her though because she is seriously pissing people off at this stage.

I'm naturally suspicious of Lucinda, as it would be an understatement to say I'm not a fan, but its entirely possible her intentions are genuine.

If she does have reservations about the policy, she is entitled to her opinion, and, it has to be said, publicise her reservations in order to see if she has support.
She is also entitled to address her concerns about how policy is formulated, if they are genuine.

    If.

She also has an obligation to abide by policy is it agreed by the party. Or leave.

You should listen to my bias, not the other side’s bias.

Poor Lucinda , she does not matter a lot. Trying to make noise to get herself heard. And until I read the posts here, I did not realise she gave that stupid interview to Star about not going to a meal or a drink with Enda Kenny. And imagine she would resign if not made a minister. Now heres a tip Lucinda, the Catholic Church does not make women ministers, but Protestants do, and they have several ex nuns and catholics now ordained women ministers. Theres a chance for you.

Did anyone spot Luz Enda Cretin at the FG Conference. Could not see her as cameras moved around, but then as she is not on front bench maybe she was in secon tier. Only the best ones are to the fore, ie. Michael Ringo, Coveney (future leader says he) Billy Timmins, She might have been there, but she can be conspicuous by her blond mane.
You'd think Kenny committed Treason and brought in IMF. Cowen had all in stitches in Galway at 3.30a.m.but he was "not impaired" -DD Power. FF=Publican páirtí an IMF.

But only if she gets the headlines after running to the media. Can anyone tell us what she has produced in her role as deputy FA and EU spokes(man)woman which portfolio I think she holds. The only thing I can remember her
doing is backing hapless John McCain/Sarah Palin ticket in US election. So she is Ireland's answer to Sarah Palin, and She can see bull island from her D4 constituency as Palin did see Russia from Alaska.

Ah, Lucinda, its all "Me, me, me...", isn't it?

If you're not a team player, you won't ever be a Minister. Get over it.
