Is KingKane running. He declared that he was running on the NUI panel some time ago. Is he seeking the YFG endorsement? If not will their in effect be 2 FG candidates on the NUI panel?Originally Posted by saveNenaghHospital
well it looks like we're going to have a contest on our hands with at this stage two stalwarths of young fine gael over the last number of years declaring an interest
namley John Kennedy and Peter Cosgrove
best of luck to both of the lads in the coming weeks
and my advise to anyone still contemplating a crack at it, get yourself out there fast before the lads get too much of a head start
Any more word on this, had a charming email from young Cosgrove but that's the height of it!

Lads, I'm not a member of YFG. So the answer is no.Originally Posted by kerrynorth

"young fine gael"....hmmmmmmm
would this be the same young fine gael tossers who within recent memory passed a motion calling for ireland to re-join the english commonwealth??
or are ye glossing over that particular atrocity?
west brits all......
Nice to hear the two lads are going for it. A conference with out an election would have been a disaster. Might turn out that way anyway, but this way there might be tears.
Happy as larry!
Funny - I don't see you referring to FF as West-Brits despite the fact Eamonn O Cuiv (Grandson of DeValera) was also in favour of Ireland re-joining the Commonwealth.Originally Posted by Megatron 3:16

What? Sounds like your making that one up I reckons.......unless you can substantiate such a claim....even if O Cuiv was in favour of such treason against Bunreacht NaHEireann, there is no way that FF grass roots or public at large would ever subscribe to it.......
Interesting to note you're not denying young FG (and probably old FG too) are in favour of such a move....
i'll say it again, West Brits all..............
No such motion was ever passed at a YFG conference.Originally Posted by Megatron 3:16
