The Irish Examiner has releashed further information from its latest poll.

In it, Cowen came up trumps with 20% of the National voters and 25% of Fianna Fáil voters.

In second place is Ahern who has overtaken Michael Martin with 13% (Martin on 12%)

Hannfin is in 4th with 8% with Coughlin and Brennan on 7%.

Really? Not according to Cowen there's not. His "National Organisation Committee reported last year saying:

    - FF membership has shrivelled to between 15,000 and 20,000
    - Less than 14,000 admitted to ever having canvassed
    - Half of party activists are over 55
    - Organisation is mainly rural, and increasingly inactive
    - 50% of cumann meet once a year, or less
    - 25% of cumann are completely inactive
    - 58% of cumann admitted to having had no new member in three years
    - "More members are dying than joining Fianna Fáil" (Cowen's own words)
"The IRA Army Council have a history of telling the truth. If they say they didn't do it, then I believe them" - Bertie Ahern, speaking after the murder of Det. Garda Jerry McCabe

I apologise, in Meath West there is a very strong cumann structure! Better....have you got no bleeding study to do? You seem to spend your life on here...

No offence but I don't think Cowen is the man for the job. and if 25% want him, 75% don't. Sorry. The party hierarchy remains too male-dominated (and I say that as a man). To be fair, this is even more the case with Labour and FG. Credit to the PDs for picking the first female leader in the country. FF need a female leader or a different male leader. I choose Tom Kitt or Mary Coughlan/Hanafin.

Kitt is definitely out as he hasnt held a Senior Ministry. I have always had time for both of the Marys. Im also a fan of Dermot Ahern and my local Minister Noel Dempsey!! Im really hedging my bets here arent I?

Dunno about Dempsey remember the uni-fees controversy? Dermo is articulate enough but maybe doesn't have the personal touch with the voters that Bertie does. Tom is cute and will get the female vote and others...

Also remember David Cameron also held no ministry but has put the Tories on 40% in the UK.

To be honest, Uni fees need to be addressed. Its ridiculous that children of barristers and doctors dont have to pay to get a Third Level Degree, but thats a comment for another topic!!

In relation to Kitt being cute...are u bleeding crazy batman??
