Labour like FF is a bit of an enigma to people outside of the party, People who think Labour are Socialist are usually on the right of the political spectrum and people who deny they are socialist are usually on the far-left of the political spectrum.

I think we have proven that what we though was right has been what's right for the country. Successive FF Finance Ministers such as Ray McSharry, Albert Reynolds and Bertie Ahern help put the country back on track creating the Celtic Tiger. In 2002/2003 when the economy started to go south McCreevey made some unpopular decisions and got Ireland back on its feet and now Brian Lenihan will do the same.
It was through the usurpation of PD/FG ideology from 1985 that McSharry engaged in what he did. In 2002/2003 it was a minor blip, which anybody with a bit of economic nous could steer a country through.

I see you failed to mention Cowen and O Donoghue, and "what they have thought" was right by the country. Any legacy Bertie has in finance has been wiped clean by the destruction job he did on the economy between 2004-2008 in the name of popularity.

Why is it when Paddy Power gives odds on something like this thats what waht people refer to to. Because if Paddy Power says it it must be true!
The economy will have picked up by 2011 although not to where we would like to see it. I doubt that all people will realise it was Fianna Fáils quick thinking that saved us. That will taje a bit longer. If Fine Gael get in it will probably be around the six month mark of the Fine Gael government that people will realise it was Fianna Fáil that saved us. Thats if Fine Gael last six months.
As you can read from all the anti-Fianna Fáilers they are delighted that we are in recession so as they can give out about us an hope it last until 2012 so as they can continue to do so. They dwell in Irelands misfortune.
I always thought Couglin would be our next leader but now its unlikely. Not Hanafin either. My support goes to Martin but I back Cowen until he decides to stand down. At the moment there are no female leaders that stand out.

This isn't reality. It has absolutely nothing to do with reality, its unbelieveable that anyone with a mind capable of functioning normally in any way at all would believe this mantra. Its completely delusional to try and make it seem like party political propaganda is factual reality. Meanwhile back on planet earth FF have wrecked the country, thats the reality. Whats next for FF, invading Poland?

If you would call being up to our knees in debt, at a possible 120 Billion euro by 2012, as being fine and grand and all the rest then sure!

Let's face it, Ireland is looking into the abyss... and come here and let me tell you a little secret that Fianna Fail can't seem to get a grasp on ( or just refuse to perhaps), it wasn't the global downturn, it was Fianna Fail and their lack-lustre leadership mixed with pure incompetence and greed that has us here, so please don't spout that same old crap that has been heard time and time again from your party.. the people aren't swallowing it, so best try something else.

VoteFFNo1 stated in his post that

By 2011 things will be fine, i have no doubt. Brian Lenihan is the man!

It won't be nice and dandy for some years to come, and certainly not in 2011.

It's nearly a given that we will be back on our feet with the Economy by 2011 so our poll ratings should be a bit better than now and people will be grateful for the corrective measures that the current FF government have made, after all its a global downturn.

Brian Cowen will probably not fight the next election as leader.

Brian Lenihan and M Martin would be excellent choices as leader and Taoiseach but we could pull a trump card out our our pocket and run with a female leader to push us over the line to get back into power and to keep Fine Gael and Labour out and possibly Sinn Fein.

I think Mary Hanifin could would make a very good leader and become the first female Taoiseach!

    She has good pedigree
    Experinced
    Charismatic
    Good Looking
    Intelligent

    and she is a women.

What do other FF supporters think?
What f*cking planet are you on?
