Who is next to lead Fianna Fáil?

I would put my money on Éamonn Ó Cuiv, but I don't know anywhere that will take my bet.

I think he would bring them back to their roots, and position them for government in around 2015 (after some time in opposition).

I will be wager one rep point with anyone willing to take my bet

It depends when Cowen falls, more than likely very soon. Dermot Ahern or Micheal Martin though Ahern has been damaged by the blasphemey law controversey

i can see us being in government after a period of about 10 years, lead by a new leader (after 2 or 3 opposition ones) who is presently not an elected party member....

He has, and so has the FF support in Cork. Will he join Labour?

expect martin, ahern, hanifin and dempsey to want a piece of the cake (or whats left of it)... not that all of them will run, but def want something big to support someone else....

Hanifin is in a fantastic position (as a Dublin minister) to ask for something big...

also the few that feel "shafted" will want to support someone... Tom Kitt and family, bertie and noel, McGuinness, maybe even Joe Behan could make a return

but Cowen isnt ready to walk yet... and nobody seems ready to push.... Martin has an opportunity to take the county by the scruff of the neck during Lisbon 2.... he would seem like the obvious choice...
