Excellent.

Talk about rubbing people's noses in it. FF pick the older brother of a sitting TD to run in a by-election. That selection will energise every other campaign, and split the already shattered remnants of FF! A class act!

ah say it ain't so, the universities will have to be giving more honorary professorships - perhaps in housing disadvantage studies or social sciences ¿

Well with 40k behind him, plus probably the strongest constituency machine in the history of the state, he surely has to be fancied to win it.

Is it not a badge of honour to be shafted by Ahern?

Its only a chat, we ain't the world council.
In 2000 the Women's Institute in Britain gave Tony Blair the slow hand clap to demonstrate their contempt.
It was dignified, restrained and effective.Doesn't Bertie deserve the same scorn. No shouting, no abuse, no agression just a relentless slow clap whenever he speaks in public would be enough to end that man's presidential fantasy.
