Europe- Sure Merle why dont we go like Iceland and go it alone, sure little Ireland can take on China, America and India. We need to be in Europe for prosperity.

Republicanism- You think because Articles 2 and 3 are gone that matters. Its just words, i dont need a constitution or passport to tell me im Irish.

Your last point- I really take issue with people like you on your high horse saying who is Irish and who isnt, I will just tell you this you dont have any right at all to make distinctions like that.

Republicanism is a system of government, NOT a territorial arguement!!!

This is code for "we will control most of the country's resources for as long as we can and we will distribute those resources for the benefit of ourselves and our voters".

I have heard a Fianna Fail activist say as much when he explained the lack of investment in infrastructure and industry in a particular area by reference to the fact that it did not return a Fianna Fail TD. And what is more, that very individual has benefited from Fianna Fail's control of resources and it was predicted to me by another Fianna Fail activist that he would.

I've never come across this before. It looks fascinating. Could you go into more detail on how banking crashes led to the O'Connellite movement and Parnell's dominance?

Perhaps this should be in PMs? I don't know. I'd really appreciate it if you could fill me in.
