How can you begrudge a minister? Our problem is that we give someone power and pay him a good salary and he wastes his money.

Simple really.

Remember these guys work for us. *

Getting back to the topic of the thread,
Is it acceptable that ANY minister needlessly wastes public money. Course not.
Should it be addressed? absolutely.

Good evening Martin. Nice of you to drop in.

It most certainly should. I mean it's not as if we're dealing with a prospective pay cut or the like. All of this money he is flushing away is on top of his salary.

What makes Cullen uniquely offensive is his arrogance and sense of entitlement, his total lack of awareness that he is meant to be a servant of the people, not their systematic exploiter.

At least the Late Late Show allowed free speech, that was one of the great things about it, a live show where guests could speak their mind and it couldn't be cut. edited or censored later.

That was until Ryan Tubridy gets it and it turns into a FF propaganda platform where FF TDs have free reign.

Will the electorate learn from selecting feckless, preening, vacuous, mediocrities like Cullen?
No.
Its only a chat, we ain't the world council.
In 2000 the Women's Institute in Britain gave Tony Blair the slow hand clap to demonstrate their contempt.
It was dignified, restrained and effective.Doesn't Bertie deserve the same scorn. No shouting, no abuse, no agression just a relentless slow clap whenever he speaks in public would be enough to end that man's presidential fantasy.

Did you see Cullen trying to cover his tracks on the news, saying that he would "not have a problem" with having to account for his expenses? What a spirit of public service!

We haven't forgotten Cullen. You need to be shown the door as well a s a p.

You and O Donoghue are the worst offenders.
