Now if only we had an Opposition worthy of the name...
I'll tell you, at this point, whatever their actual opinion of the opposition, I reckon most people would vote for them even if the entire front bench was made up of dead donkeys - anything to rid themselves of a government which has managed to combine such arrogance, ineptitude, sleaziness and - now - hissy fits!
Dublin is rife with rumour about the identity of the artist. Ian Whyte, of Whyte’s Gallery, said: “It was certainly a professional job; the two paintings were both very well executed. They are actually better than the work of a few artists I thought it might be. Everyone will be talking about it until the identity is revealed.
“No crime was committed, whoever it was didn’t take anything. In fact, he donated something.”
RTE has just had a news story about 2 monkeys getting maried.

Ceann Comhairle rules out questions on RTÉ apology
The Ceann Comhairle has prevented Opposition parties in the Dáil from raising questions this morning about the RTÉ decision to apologise to the Taoiseach over a news report on Tuesday night.
The state broadcaster issued the apology following a report about the satirical nude portraits of Brian Cowen that were hung on the walls of two Dublin galleries without permission.
Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny described the apology as "grovelling", while Labour Party TD Liz McManus accused the broadcaster of bowing to political pressure.
However, attempts to raise the matter were ruled out of order by the Ceann Comhairle, former Fianna Fáil minister John O'Donoghue.
