Bertie hid behind everybody, his dead mother and father, his kids, his ex and "the separation agreement" (what great secret is in it), Des Rich stroking and hiding funds for him, using the blonde's bank accounts to launder sterling and US dollars for him, setting up Grainne Carruth at Mahon when he knew exactly what was to happen, he hid behind Charlie saying that type of behaviour would not be tolerated as he spoke he was on the take himself, the list goes on and on, a lot lot nastier than Biffo.

Albert famously said he was a one sheet man, as in he wanted everything given to him on a single page.

Cowen could end up as a 48 sheet poster boy before this is over.

Whoever made the complaint to the Guards that led to the raid on Today FM should think again, and have some sense.

Dont worry, the complaint came from government. This reminds me of the night of the government guarantee for the banks, the waters get muddier and muddier the further up the food chain we look.

Shows the intolerance Fianna Fáil have for criticism including satire. I recall Vladimir Putin had the Russian equivalent of "Spitting Image" taken off the air. Satire is an important part of a democratic society. Maybe now it becomes easier to understand the mentality of a govt that won't accept us giving "the wrong answer" over Lisbon. While state-owned, it is imperative that RTE does not become a tool of any govt or political-party. RTE has nothing to apologise for, and the DG should stand his ground. There are far more important things for Cowen to be concentrating on at the moment, than some nude portrait by a satirist obviously displeased by his govt's abject mismanagement of our once proud economy. If this is what is keeping Cowen awake at night thwn god help us all.
