There are gombeens in both parties undoubtedly. The difference is they are a very small minority in FG, whereas in FF they are the overwhelming majority...

In any case, its long being known that county councils are a cesspit of corruption and conflicts of interests....

The recent tribunals only focused on Dublin Councils. Does anyone seriously believe that Dublin councils were more corrupt than every other council around the country?

Everyone knows the usual people on their local council who have clear conflicts of interest, ie the auctioneers, business people, as well as those who rely on contracts from the council. Corrupt would be an understatement to describe most councils.

I wouldn't be too sure bout that ... the Circuit Criminal Court is a higher operation up the ladder than yer local District Court with of course the possibility of more severe sentencing too ..... rather than put a few quid in the poor box and you're out the door kinda scenario

'Ethics breach'! F*cking hilarious. What next, 'standards interface deficit scenario'? F*cking RTE...

The Brehon, that's the one used for shindigs by FF a lot out on the Muckross Road, no? Nice for some...

The real crime will be if the people of Killarney re-elect the guy when he has been caught in the act.

No, the real crime will be that he is allowed to stand for public office with a criminal record.
